It’s a Coastal Christmas at SKD Studios!
Christmas is a beautiful time of the year, with all of your family, the decorations, and the sparkling lights! It is such a mood uplifter to have beautiful things surrounding you, and here at SKD we find much of our inspiration from the beach. We love a coastal theme, and this year we have decided to put a coastal spin on the traditional Christmas decor.

Coastal Christmas is all about the sea. To decorate with a coastal theme, the first thing you must use is beach accents. Things like driftwood, starfish, coral, seahorses, and -one of our favorites-crab bring a little taste of the ocean into your interior.
To achieve the Classic coastal look, you want to use things light neutral colors, hues of blue, sea-inspired wall art, stripes, linen curtains, and Bead board. For more of a Contemporary Coastal look, you will more likely use more vibrant colors like turquoise and coral, colorful modern furniture with clean lines, and industrial and maritime inspired lighting. You can make use of stripes in either look.
While decorating your home can potentially be a great deal of fun, you don’t want to go overboard (no pun intended!), you want to make sure you combine the pieces in a tasteful way and use colors to bring the look all together.
